Chicopee Gardens

Charlotte knew she wanted to come to Chicopee Gardens when faced with decision to go to rehab. Charlotte, many years ago was once a volunteer and played bingo once a week with the residents. She herself now needed a rehab stay due to an illness and hospitalization.
Charlotte came to Chicopee Gardens in need of strengthening and to increase her independence with ADL's in order to return home One of Charlottes goals was to be able to stand up from a chair independently and be completely independent.
Following participation with OT and PT, She gained enough strength to rise up from a chair without assistance and walk independently with her walker. She is also independent with her self care tasks, including some light cooking.
Some quotes from Charlotte upon leaving to home were," I'm glad I choose Chicopee Gardens, Everybody has been so nice and it is close to my home. I enjoyed spending some time on the deck" and said she will come back if she ever needs us again.
